1 lb PureLux Clear Melt and Pour Soap
1 oz Poppy Seeds
1 oz Dried Orange Peels
1 oz 100% Lemon Essential Oil
1 6 Cavity Square Silicone Mold
1 Silicone Spatula
Heat Source (I used a microwave)
Microwave Safe Bowl or Soap pouring pitcher
Isopropyl Alcohol in Spray Bottle
Kitchen Scale
Soap Cutter to cut up 1 lb Blocks of Soap
Step 2:
Weigh out 5 oz of your clear melt and pour soap base and 5 oz of your shea butter melt and pour soap base. Cut each of these 5 oz portions into evenly sized cubes with your soap cutter.
Step 3:
Set your evenly sized cubes of shea butter melt and pour soap base off to the side. Place your cut up 5 oz of clear melt and pour soap base into a microwave safe bowl.
Step 4:
Place your 5 oz of clear melt and pour soap base into the microwave and microwave in 10-20 second intervals, stirring in between each interval. Heat until the soap base is evenly melted and has a nice, smooth consistency.
Step 5:
Add your dried orange peels into the melted clear melt and pour soap base. Stir well with silicone spatula.
Step 6:
Take 100% pure lemon essential oil and add into the clear melt and pour soap base and dried orange peel mixture. Grab your silicone mold and pour evenly into the mold, this is forming your bottom layer of your 2 layer soap. Spray layer with isopropyl alcohol to eliminate any air bubbles and help adhesion of two layers of soap. Set to the side.
Step 7:
Take your 5 oz of cut up shea butter melt and pour soap base, place into a microwave safe bowl and heat like you did the clear melt and pour soap base. Heat in 10-20 second intervals, stirring in between until smooth and evenly heated.
Step 8:
Take your poppy seeds and add into your melted shea butter melt and pour soap base. Stir well. Take your pure lemon essential oil and add to this mixture and stir well.
Step 9:
Take your silicone mold, make sure that the first layer is firm to the touch, spritz a couple more sprays of alcohol and pour the shea butter mixture right over the first clear layer. Once poured you can spritz the surface with alcohol to eliminate any air bubbles.
Step 10:
Let sit for at least 45 min to an hour to let harden. Once hardened you can pop the soap right out of the silicone mold. You're all set! Your soap is now ready to use and enjoy!
